Recover Data from Accidentally Shrunk Partition
I
Accidentally Shrink a Partition with Valuable Data. Is It Possible to Recover
It Back?
"Hello!
In this morning, I accidentally shrank the main partition on my WD external
hard disk from 1TB into 320 GB on my Windows 8 computer. All my stored
documents, films, audios, software and more files inside this partition were
gone. Honestly, I had recalled to prepare the partition data backups in
advance, but, forgot it after I did something else back. What can I do now? Can
I merely extend this partition and run data recovery software to take
everything desired back? Or does the partition expanding processes make thing
worse? Thank you for any advice to help me recoverlost data from WD external drive on Windows 8!"

"Hello,
I have a 1TB WD external hard disk that always works fine on my Windows laptop,
which often is used at home, since it was bought about several months ago.
However, recently, when I try to connect it to a Windows 7 desktop computer
that often is placed in my office, this external drive is not shown in My
Computer interface as usual. But, it shows up in Device Manager. But, when I
attempt to click this drive there, it says it cannot be accessed now since the
device is not ready. Can anyone help explain why such device not ready error
happens to me? What can I do now to resolve this problem and access my drive
contents easily? Thanks for any advice here."

Best Way to Move Windows to a Larger Drive without Reinstallation?
Can
I Move Windows from One Drive
to Another without Reinstallation?
Situation1: Hello, in order to extend my
Windows 8 computer memory, I do have chosen a new larger SSD which could be used
to replace my old internal hard disk that has many bad sectors. However, I am
also worrying whether the computer Windows 8 OS, which is still installed on
the old hard disk, could be moved to this newly bought SSD? What can I do to
directly copy and paste the Windows 8 OS to this new SSD without
reinstallation? I really don’t want to pay it again while reinstall it on the
new drive. Thank you for any advice here!
