Hard Drive Shows Not Formatted Error - Recovering Data from an Unformatted Drive

FAQ1, Hard Drive Shows Not Formatted Error. What to Do Next?
Question: I can’t open my laptop hard drive in which I have lots of data including family pictures, videos and some office documents etc. I got the following message when I try to open it:
''The disk in drive E is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?''
Obviously I can’t format it since I don’t wipe off the data inside the drive. Could someone help me get data off the unformatted hard drive?

Recover Data from Broken Hard Drive – Solutions to Recover Files from 2TB WD Hard Drive

Data Lost from WD 2TB Hard Drive

Is it possible to recover data from a broken hard drive? It depends. Below is a question from forum. Let’s read it and learn more knowledge about broken hard drive recovery.

I think my WD elements 2TB hard drive is broken after several attempts to make it work. When I connect the 2TB hard drive to my computer, I can’t find it on "My Computer". I can only find it on "Disk Management" but I am unable to access it. Is there any clue to solve this problem? If my hard drive is really broken, how can I get the data off the broken hard drive?
