How to Retrieve Deleted Photos on Windows XP Hard Drive?
Every Windows XP computer has a Recycle Bin on its desktop. The reason why it is called Recycle Bin is that it often contains the files deleted from Windows hard drive, so users can restore the deleted files from the Recycle Bin as long as the files are not removed from it. Therefore, photos deleted from hard drive can be easily restored from Recycle Bin. The way is quite simple. You only need to double click on the icon of Recycle Bin, and then you can see all photos that have been deleted from hard drive. If you want to restore all deleted photos, you can select all photos by pressing Ctrl + A keys and then right click the mouse, and finally choose the "Restore" option to restore all selected photos. If the Recycle Bin also contains other files that you don’t want to restore, you can only select the photos you want to recover by pressing Ctrl key and then restore them. The selected photos will be restored to the original hard drive partition where they have been deleted.

How to Recover Photos Deleted from Removable Devices on Windows XP?
Removable device like memory card is often used on digital camera and mobile phone. However, digital camera and mobile phone don’t have a Recycle Bin to restore files when they are deleted from memory card. Besides, all removable devices can be connected to a computer on which you can easily delete files. Although every computer has a Recycle Bin, files deleted from removable device won’t be moved to it. Then how can you restore photos deleted from removable devices on Windows XP?

In fact, it is very easy to restore deleted photos from all removable devices by using Windows photo recovery software. The software is capable of recovering deleted photos with free charge. After downloading and installing this software on your computer, you only need to connect the removable device where photos have been deleted to the computer and the software could search for the deleted photos by deep scanning every sector on the device. Different from recovering files from Recycle Bin, you will need to select a device to store the recovered files. You must remember that you cannot restore the found photos to the original device where photos are lost.
