Can I Get Data off an SD Card Which Is Not Recognized on My Computer?

Problem: SD Card Is Not Recognized by My Computer

As we know, an SD card is a good choice for data storage since it can be used on many devices. However, it is not very convenient to transfer data from an SD card to anther device. For example, if you want to transfer a photo from this mobile phone to another one, you may use Bluetooth on the cell phone. However, what if you want to transfer data from an SD card on mobile phone to the card on a digital camera? As far as I know, the fastest and most effective way to transfer data form an SD card to another device is to connect the SD card to a PC and copy or move the data to another device.

Then here is the problem: when you connect the SD card to a computer, it may not always be recognizable by Windows OS. If an SD card is not recognized by PC, it will be difficult to read or access the data on the card. Sometimes, when SD card is plugged into the PC, you can find it recognized as an external drive on "My Computer", but when you want to open the card a message will pop up saying "there is no disk in drive, please insert a disk into drive". Sometimes, the SD card cannot be recognized as an external device on "My Computer", but you can find it under "Disk Management".

Solution: Get Data off SD Card When It Is Unrecognized
Since SD card is not recognized normally on the computer, it is impossible to access data from the card as usual. In such a case, if you still want to transfer data from SD card, you need to get data off the card. For the purpose of getting data off the SD card, the only method is to search for a reliable data recovery tool.

SD card recovery software has been proved to be one of the best free data recovery programs for lost file recovery on SD card. Although SD card cannot be recognized on PC, the software can recognize the card as a removable drive as long as you insert the card to the computer. Question: Why Is SD Card Unrecognized When Connecting to PC?
When an SD card is not recognized on PC, it doesn’t always mean that the card is corrupted or damaged. Sometimes, you only need to change a USB port or a computer, or you can change another card reader or USB cable, the card can work properly again. In addition, SD card bad sectors, virus attack, improper operation on SD card, etc are the common causes to lead SD card not to be recognized when connecting to the PC.
