What should you do if your external hard drive is unreadable when you connect it to your computer? Don’t hesitate to
perform a data recovery on the external hard drive instead of formatting the external hard drive. When your external hard drive is unreadable, the files
inside the drive may be corrupt or infected with virus. If you don’t perform
data recovery as soon as possible, the data will probably be lost. How can you
recover those data from the not readable external hard drive? External drive recovery software would be a good choice since it is free and it enables you to
recover any data from a not readable external hard drive.

data recovery. The general steps on how to use these
two programs can be concluded as below.
Step1. Plug the external hard drive to your computer. Free download and
install the external drive recovery software to your computer. Go to one
recovery module.
Step2. Choose the external hard drive and start scanning.
Step3. Preview found files after scanning.
Step4. Recover and store all selected files you need to your computer hard disk rather than the external hard drive.

User’s Experiences on External Hard Drive Not Readable
Error
Can
anybody give me some suggestion to help me get data off a not readable external
hard drive? I think the reason for my external hard drive shows not readable
issue is that I unplug it from my computer while transferring some files into
it. Now when I reconnect the external hard drive to my computer, it says it’s
not readable and corrupted. I right click on the external hard drive and I can
only get the option to format the drive. I don’t want to format the drive
because there are many important files inside. What should I do to get data off
the external hard drive?
